This study investigated the epidemiology and clinical aspects of Chrysomya bezziana infestation in ruminants (cows, sheep, and goats) in Dhi-Qar city districts. Over the course of April 11, 2015, to September 25, 2016, 60 cows, 545 sheep, and 18 goats were examined. Infestation rates were found to be 9.6% in cows, 87.4% in sheep, and 2.8% in goats. Sheep were particularly susceptible due to seasonal injuries from shearing practices, leading to open wounds that facilitated infestation. The high hot and humid climate was identified as a key factor in infestation.
